A Relationship-Skills Day Camp for Middle Schoolers

Children’s Program is excited to bring back our highly successful, outdoor therapeutic day camp for incoming 6th-8th graders. RISE UP provides a small microcosm of what students may experience in middle school. We hope to create a diverse membership to help group members practice key relationship skills with one another with the goal of increasing maturity and confidence. Fun-filled games, crafts, play, thought-provoking activities, and supportive group discussions center around the RISE UP principles (Respectful, Inclusive, Self-Aware, Empathic, UPstanders). We provide close supervision and a safe space to help them learn when and how to step up, but also when and how to step down. We do not allow campers to mistreat one another, and we utilize small group activities to ensure we are matching up campers who are able to support one another in their growth.

Dates: August 22nd to August 26th, Half Day (9 AM to 12 PM). No aftercare provided outside of camp hours.

Location: German International School, 3900 SW Murray Blvd, Beaverton, OR 97005

All camp activities will be outdoors on campus with access to bathrooms and shelter as needed.
