Residency in Clinical Child Psychology
Trauma and Attachment Focus
We are excited to announce a new opening for a Postdoctoral residency under the supervision of a licensed clinical psychologist with an OBPE Board-approved Resident Supervision Contract.
Resident Training Opportunities and Responsibilities:
*Provide individual and family therapy
*Co-facilitate groups for parents, teens, and children focusing on emotional regulation, attachment, and trauma
*Prioritization of therapy cases involving acute and chronic trauma, early childhood attachment disruption, traumatic loss, adoption, and foster care.
*Psychological assessment including evaluations of children in DHS custody
*Assist in development and implementation of trauma-focused group therapy programs
*Trauma and Attachment-Focused literature review
*Training in TFCBT, trauma-focused narrative work, EMDR, PCIT, TBRI, and other attachment-focused techniques
*Observe intake and feedback sessions of other licensed providers
*Care coordination and consultation
*Attendance of weekly training and consultation meetings with staff psychologists
*2 hours of 1:1 supervision weekly for full-time residents
*1500 hours of psychological services (50 weeks full-time) in total. We are open to the option of half-time over a 24-month period as well if this is the resident’s preference.
Eligibility: We seek candidates who will have completed an APA-accredited doctoral program in clinical or counseling psychology and an APA-accredited internship as of the start of the residency. The dissertation and all doctoral degree requirements must be verified as completed prior to the fellowship start date.
