Does your child need more social skills practice while social distancing? If so, our interactive, virtual game group may be the answer! Each group aims to provide a structured format in which participants are introduced to a new game (ex. Taboo, 20 Questions) that allows them to practice their interpersonal relational skills while having fun with their peers. Group leaders will support individuals by providing feedback and helping to reinforce positive social behaviors such as listening, turn taking, good sportsmanship and cognitive flexibility. Due to the limitations of the virtual format, this group is best suited for children who are able to participate with minimal in-person adult intervention. However, should your child require additional support, parental presence and assistance during sessions may be requested. Parents are encouraged to register their child as soon as possible due to limited capacity.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to licensure restrictions, this class is only available to permanent residents of the state of Oregon. Participants must be physically located in Oregon for each session.
Cost: $100.00 for 8 virtual sessions (60 minutes each).
This class requires a certain minimum number of participants. If registration is too low and we need to cancel, we will let you know and no fees will be billed to you.
*If your child has never received services at the Children’s Program before, or if they have not attended an appointment with a Children’s Program provider within the last 6 months, please fill out an online intake inquiry prior to registering for this class. You will be required to attend a free 30 minute virtual information session with Dr. Virani to ensure that this group is a good fit for you child’s current needs.
