DBT Skills Training for Adolescents

2 Sessions per Week (Mondays & Thursdays from 5:00pm – 6:30pm) for 7 weeks
Beginning October 25, 2021

Who is this group for? 

The group is for adolescents experiencing emotion dysregulation, deficits in interpersonal communication, limited tolerance to stress, risky behaviors that could include self-harming and/or suicidal ideation. 

What is DBT? 

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is a form of therapy that utilizes behavioral techniques, mindfulness, skills training and homework to assist adolescents with modifying/changing unwanted/maladaptive behaviors.

Currently this will be a group held via Zoom due to the impact of COVID. We will resume in-person when possible. 

Who is eligible for this group? 

All group participants must have either met with Dr. Polidori or currently be in individual therapy at The Children’s Program and seeing individual therapist at least 1x/month. This is vital for practicing skills effectively, personalizing their DBT experience, and assisting in generalizing skills to their environment. 

How much does the group cost? 

$400.00/participant  (not insurance billable)

DBT Skills Training Handouts and Worksheets (2nd Edition), by Dr. Marsha Linehan  (participants must purchase this workbook).

What would be the size of the group? 

The group size will vary depending on age/needs of the participants.
